St. Joseph’s University will hold its first Open Day to mark the anniversary of its inauguration on Saturday, 30th September 2023. The School of Languages & Literatures will hold quizzes, theatre performances and workshops as part of the Open Day celebrations. All contests, workshops and performances are free. The details are given below, with links to register. Please do join us!
DOUBLE TAKE
Two quizzes, open to solo competitors in School, College and Open categories.
School: Std.XII/PUC or below
College: UG/PG
Open: Everybody!
The first is a Science Quiz featuring 50 questions to be worked out in 30 minutes. This will be followed by a General Quiz, also featuring 50 questions in 30 minutes.

Solo participation, no limit on the number per institution
Prizes for the top 10 finishers in the school category
Certificates–we will also release a ranking list

4. Just A Minute: a workshop in public speaking
Just A Minute started life as a radio game and continues to be one of the most fun ways in which to approach public speaking. Join Prof. Vismaya and Shireen Vrinda in workshops that will teach you to improvise, and to give your inner story-teller free rein.

5. The Book Making Workshop
Book Making will get you to look at paper, design, processes of publication, and to think about what goes into a book. Prof. Drishti Rakhra will walk you through different kinds of book covers and why we respond to some ideas/concepts more than others. You will also get to design your own book.
