SJC Quizzers, the quiz club at St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), will hold, in partnership with KQA, a collegiate solo quizzing championship across the country on Sunday, 29 January 2017. The quiz is titled Magister.
Magister is a 100-question AV quiz that will be administered simultaneously across all venues. The quiz will begin at 11 am on 29 January and end at 1 pm in a coordinated start-and-finish. Some venues may start earlier due to constraints with hall-availability.
The quiz is open to students across a wide range of categories: Junior College (Std. XI-XII), UG (Any Bachelor’s Degree), PG (Any Master’s Degree) and Senior (Mphil/Ph.D). There will be one overall winner, winners in each category, and the chance for every individual quizzer to find his or her place in the overall national rankings. Magister will include a separate open track for interested quizzers from the open quizzing circuit.
The quiz is set by a team comprising Prof. Rajeev Gowda (MP-Rajya Sabha, and KQA co-founder), Arul Mani (KQA), Nagaratna Patil, Avinash Thirumalai, Prithwiraj Mukherjee, Rijul Ballal, Abhijith Raghu and several distinguished quizzing alumni from the institution.
